Taxicab Confessions is the only real reality show because the people don't know they are being taped until the end when the consent form is in front of them. That's good TV.
As far as the rest of "reality" TV, really what I think people love so much about it is watching other retards who are willing to make complete a**es of themselves for money. It blows my mind what some people are willing to do on these shows and they sign their whole life away to do it. That's really the gem of "reality" TV.

Watching reality TV gives us a chance to forget about our own lives for a bit and watch someone else, real or not. Plus, whether it's scripted or not, the fights, etc. are fun to watch.

I don't care because I don't watch them. The closest I come to watching reality TV is the cop shows. If the shows lose their audience, someone will come up with a new type of show.

Simple truth is that it is mindless entertainment and people don't have to think while watching.. And, yes, sometimes seeing people look unbelievably stupid is what draws people in as well.. Who would want to go on those shows like Jerry Springer anyhow?

Exactly. I saw an Ozzy interview where he said this woman at an airport came up to him and started to tell him how much of a fan of his she was .She then asked him what he was doing at the airport , he told her he was touring with his band and they were going to a concert, she said " Oh, you do that too?" Bwahahahaha,OK , I can sorta see if you were an Ozzy fan watching the show.If you watched it because you thought it was entertaining based on it's own merits , my god you need to get a life.Sharon picking dog **** out of her dogs fur is entertaining?

Television has become the new opium of the masses. Of course they don't care, they are incapable of thinking. People want their stereotypes and prejudices to be confirmed, not challenged.
