Yes, it's legal to download songs from limewire.. But beware, p2p files are full of viruses and almost killed my computer. I had to have it wiped clean, and the person who did it said it was due to limewire.

It is illegal to download copyrighted material without expressed permission of the artist label. If you do illegally download "free" music you will also get plenty of "free" adware or spyware that will bog your computer down with pop up crap and it can use a lot of your memory so your computer runs slow as a constipated bowel.
Been there, replaced computer, downloading banned.

It depends on the song, or more to the point, who owns the song, if it is ok with them for it to be feely distributed, then it is legal, if it is not ok with them, it is not legal.

Only a few ones. If you notice a pop-up window that says this product does not have a license then it is illegal.
