Always a good idea to see a doctor to rule out hormone deficiencies and other balances in your system. As you know hair growth on the bodies of men varies from Ape Man to Smooth Groove, depending upon your inherited hairiness or lack thereof. Those of us who have to shave every day would love to have your "problem." If the rest of your body is relatively hairy then I would think a doctor could do something so you can grow a beard and try to look "older." Believe me, no one else notices that you don't have a beard - it is just you.

I don't believe you have hypotrichosis...you can look it up and check. I've been told that a certain race of people had very little to no body hair. You may be related! It doesn't mean something is wrong. I know men who grow full beards and some who can only grow patches...

hair growth is totally controlled by hormones. Everyone's hormonal balance is different, in large part due to heredity. It is my understanding that native americans have very little hair growth while german women have plenty of hair growth. It doesn't suggest anything about you, the suggestion is more about your hormonal levels. by the way, many of us would love to be able to say that we didn't have much hair growth. enjoy the lack of need to shave amigo.

Most men would think that is a blessing to not have to shave frequently. A friend of mine's beard grows so quickly he has to shave twice a day and he doesn't like it at all.

Nothing dude. Consider it a gift. If I could go without shaving and maintain a smooth face, it would be awesome

What about your siblings or uncles or dad? Cousins? You may be genetically predisposed to not have much beard. Especially if you have any racial mixture in your background, such as native american or asian.
