I already have an answer, but wanted to throw it out because I wanted to ask a question. So, do you think it's possible for 2 people of different religions to have a happy marriage?

Not if they're strict about it.

Hi Stephanie,

I want to say that all the religions in the world try to teach one common thing :- " Be Good and Do Good".
If everyone follows this there will be no differences not only among married couples but whole world can exist together without any war and terrorism.

Yes.

All religions teach love for one another. So what has religion got to do with the success of a marriage between to committed souls?

Everything entirely depends on the two who are married. Its not so much the religions but the Value systems each follow that matter. For example one might believe its a sin to consume alcohol while another thinks drinking alcohol is romantic (think champagne). One might believe in abortion while another might not. One might think pre-marital sex is ok while another might not. One might be a non-vegetarian while another cannot stand the sight/smell of non-vegetarian food. One may believe in Polygamy while the other believes in Monogamy. So it all depends on how much values you share or are willing to compromise on based on the maturity that comes with genuine prayers and faith.

It's possible, but only if both sets of values and practices are respected and given equal time w/in the home. I know jewish/christian couples who celebrate both holidays and go to services together. It is going to take alot of communication and compromise, especially for the non-kosher person for example, but marriage is a partnership.

I'm doubting it. Each spouse would go on about which religion is better.
