Not that Fabio Cannavaro got my biggest vote either. Both players don't deserve that title. Henry did not play that great for Arsenal and France. Just because WC2006 gonna be his last appearance does not means he deserve it. Fabio Cannavaro winning the title = rubbish. Only one player i can think who deserve to win that title and he is Gianluigi Buffon.

THierry Henry is the best and nothing and nobody gonna change that......... Buffon is great, no doubt......... But this title gonna be Henry's...... Oh yeah and i agree Cannavaro winning the title= rubbish............

Henry didnt play that great u say, then how that he's scored not less than 25 goals per season since the last 6 years in EPL, 4 times consecutive top-scorer, Arsenal CL run had most to do with Henry, Henry also got crucial goals for France in the WC, like against Brazil, Buffon is a champ no doubt n I dont mind him winning , coz he's been great , n so has Henry, but not Cannavaro or Zidane, but then again Henry has yet had a better year than Buffon

My first choice was Buffon but Cannavaro won so I'm happy that an excellent Italian player won!
