Keep it real please, don't waste your time with any silly responses. As always, 10 pts for best and much appreciation from me.

He just won an IPOD from a radio station. He's giving it as a gift to a girlfriend. He's not into video games anymore (thank God) and what he needs is a car but we're getting him a new one when he graduates. He's got video camera, digital camera, TV, new computer, see why I'm stuck????

you didnt state how much you would be willing to spend on him. Have you asked him what he would like? New strings for his guitars something for his dorm or apartment. Find out where his favorite place is to shop for stuff (not food). If you are able then go and check the place out, you may find something there. Or if you cant then give him a nice gift cert. from there. My kids are spread all over the country and it is easier for me to do that. and then they can go out and get what they really need or want.

Power tools! Every guy should have a drill at the very least, then maybe a sander, or a circular saw or a jig saw. Best definately go with a drill first...or, a hand toolset with a socket wrench, those are extremely handy...

Well, if your son records the music he plays, you may want to give him a good software computer-program, with which he can do anything he want to his recordings. (like e.g. add more instruments to his his guitar)

Now I hope you're not gonning to ask me for the name of a software program like that......I really wouldn't know, sorry!

I just tried to think of what *I* would like to have if I were in your son's shoes.

Does he already have an Ipod? Is it the BIG one or the little ones? Maybe upgrade if he has the small one.
