All four parks have something to offer. For some of the Fastpass attractions, I recommend getting a Fastpass only if the wait time is at least 20 minutes. Reservations are recommended for all table service restaurants; they charge in excess of $15 per person for adults.
At the Magic Kingdom, some of the best attractions are Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, the Haunted Mansion and the PhilharMagic 3D show. Stitch's Great Escape is also a popular attraction. You can also go to Mickey's Toontown Fair and meet Mickey and several other characters. The Crystal Palace and Cinderella's Royal Table are two of the table service restaurants in the park; there's also Liberty Tree Tavern. In Tomorrowland, if you're there at the right time, you get to meet a talking trashcan. At the end of the day, the park runs a SpectroMagic parade and the Wishes fireworks show. I highly recommend staying for it.
At Epcot, the biggest attractions are Mission: Space, Soarin', and Test Track. The latter two often have long lines and a Fastpass is recommended. The Living Seas has some interesting aquatic displays and even has an interactive show; the Coral Reef Restaurant is adjacent. Almost all the country pavilions around the World Showcase lagoon have table service food; Mexico, France, Japan, Italy, Morocco, China, Great Britain, Canada, Germany and Norway. Epcot has its nightly IllumiNations fireworks display and I highly recommend you see it.
Disney-MGM Studios offers The Tower of Terror, the Rock 'n Roller Coaster and the Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show (they usually have 3-4 shows per day). MuppetVision 3D is a very entertaining 3D show. The park features table service food at the 50s Prime Time Cafe, Hollywood and Vine, the Sci-Fi dine-in Theater (you get to watch movie trailers of old sci-fi movies), Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano and the Hollywood Brown Derby. Fantasmic is the nightly light show and often has two shows depending on the day and season. This show I recommend seeing.
The Animal Kingdom has no table service food inside the park; the Rainforest Cafe is an exception but it sits just outside the park entrance. Expedition Everest is an extremely popular attraction and a Fastpass is strongly recommended. If you plan to ride Kali River Rapids, be prepared to get soaked. This isn't like Splash Mountain where you MAY get wet; on the Kali River Rapids, you WILL get wet, so come prepared. It's Tough to be a Bug is a very entertaining 3D show underneath the Tree of Life at the center of the park. The Festival of the Lion King is a very popular show at Camp Minnie-Mickey that I recommend seeing; you can also meet some characters there. I also recommend Kilimanjaro Safaris and Dinosaur: the ride. You'll also be able to see Finding Nemo: the musical.
Disney World also features the Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach water parks as well as Downtown Disney; Downtown features a plethora of shops and restaurants, including The World of Disney, which features just about any type of Disney merchandise you can find. Downtown also features a 24-screen movie theater.
I hope you have fun!

There is so much to do! First off before you do anything, I'd go on the disneyworld website (i think disneyworld.com) and check out a few things out. People who stay on Disney property get to go to some parks earlier than everyone else and stay later than everyone else. Each day, this happens at a different park (so they cannot come early every day to Magic Kingdom, just on selected days.) If you are staying on Disney property, then you should select which days you go to each park based on when you can go early/stay late. If you are not then AVOID THOSE DAYS! The park will be more croweded earlier and if you come early, it won't pay off if other people are already there...If you do that, then the lines shouldn't be too bad - I've been there in Feb. and it's never been horrible.
Magic Kingdom - check out Space Mountain, Spalsh Mountain, Railroad Roller Coaster (i forget name), Haunted Mansion, Stiches Escape. Eat at chicken and fish place right by Haunted Mansion (it's great!)
Animal Kingdom - I forget exact names here, but check out the Safari Ride, Rapid River ride, Dinosaur ride, and the new roller coaster there. Eat at Rainforest Cafe or at a foodcourt around there.
MGM- Rockin Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Star Tours... eat at Italian place right by the Muppet Show (if you ask somone they'll know the name)
EPCOT - Test Track, Sorin', Mar's ride. Eat at chinese restuaraunt in China exhibit - slightly expensive but great food!
Also, at night you might want to check out DISNEY Quest - it's down by Pleasure Island and your 12 year old will love it. It's a huge interactive indoor amusement place with arcade games put the the max. (it's a lot more then just that) There's also a lot of shopping and movies down there which is fun!
Have fun contact me if you have any more questions i've been to disney over 20 times.

The best rides are in the Magic Kingdom MGM is more movie, based, the Animal Kingdom is more children based like movie rides that test your senses, and Epcot is for the old people and people interested in different countries. as far as the best places to eat there is the rain forest cafe, Cinderellas castle, some place near it's a small world ride and that's about it
Hope I've answered your question

We went in February about 5 years ago. I can't remember what big rides to recommend, or places to eat---it is all VERY expensive. It was like $8 for a coke inside (a cup). But, the lines are not bad at all. There was very little wait for anything. Have fun!
