Well depends on how many different breeds of fish you plan on raising. The fish farms here were I live build What we call man made pools. The build a wire form and pour concrete into it making it into a long half tube about 40 to 50 feet long about 4 feet deep. They build one for each species of fish. You'll need a way to filter the water best way for that is a big sand filter I have used these on my fish ponds. Or you can use a pool filter. Once you build your half tubes they must be sealed to protect your fish from the chemicals in the concrete. It is a very expensive and time consuming to get a fish farm up and running the right way. You have to check with your states environmental conservation department. The state says they own the fishes and animals.

land, a 25' deep hole with fresh water from a stream running in and out and you will have a nice trout pond.
