506 squares.thats all the calculating for me .My brain hurts , your on your own now.do your own rectangles.

Since all squares are rectangles - the number of rectangles and squares are the same. The size of the checkerboard does not matter (unless you mean there is a certain type of checkerboard that is 11 by 11). In a stardard checkerboard there are 64 squares therefore there are 64 rectangles.
