Yes, talk is always a good idea. Our leaders should do it all the time and when they do, they need to keep an open mind about each others opinions. But sadly some leaders don't want to listen or talk to another leader, since they feel they are completely correct in everything they are doing when it comes to running their particular country.

Communication is clearly one solution to world peace. Yet talking is not always about communication. Listening is hearing to what is being said. Hearing what is being said and then responding is about discerning. If the solution to peace in the world was depending solely on communication that would be a tall order. How many languages are there now on this world...and what is syntax....and wouldn't it be great if all human beings could listen to each other and give one another time to talk, even if the talk was in a rage...and listen ...and then TALK,,,maybe there would be peace in the world with tolerant listening and then quiet exchange. Maybe it starts off with someone who you are close to ...and then expands to others. Not like a religion. Just communication ....expanding....
Good idea....Sure there will be loads of responses on this question!

The words human beings have been telling each other for centuries haven't been any help to prevent wars or insecurities. May be we need to look into something India has been an initiator but is known only by a few like Sri Ramana Maharshi, J.Krishnamurti, Eckhart Tolle, Jean Klein, Adyashanti, who are prone to a revolution of the mind (a quiet inner revolution) that transcends thoughts and ego and awaken us from the world of illusion in which we live.

It's a solution as a first approach, but when it's proven to not work, then it's no longer a solution.
And it's not a solution after a Pearl Harbor or 9/11 type of attack has occurred.

yes..
talk paves the way for action..
without discussions and negotiations, whatever actions taken will just lead on to more trouble. that is, if any actions are even taken, which is unlikely, unless you're talking about negative stuff like war or something
