for women the best 1 is female problems but make sure u only use that once a month or they will catch on. also a 24hr bug is a good one. i go shoppin wen i pulla sicky but dont go into the same town as ur work or u could get catched! back pain just shuffle round ur work 4 a day or 2 after it.

I usually say my partner is sick - this was you can have just a day off and return to work looking well. They can also have 'relapses' / doctors appointments / tests so you can get another odd day or two off.
If you do throw a sickie and you are spotted out in town by a colleague / manager you can use my tried and trusted excuse - 'I was in town to get my prescription from the chemist' Works every time!

Yes! i went out on a sunday nite got completely drunk woke up monday morning with a huge hangover so i phoned my boss and said i wasnt up for comin in as i was up all night bein sick lol i was sick later on the evening so its only a white lie lol

Haha..... lots of times - mostly I just phone in sick - after all what can they say. If its a last minute thing I have said that I have a bad leak or a gas leak and have to wait for the emergency engineer and they wont give me a time. xxx

My (relative, pet, car) died and I am not going to make it in.

i have'nt really lied, but i phoned the boss and told him i was'nt coming in because i hated his guts, and he was going to pay me sick time for it. he paid me!. at that time my companies productivity was through the roof because of me. if your valued by the company you have carte blance every now and then to take personal time.

I told them my grandfather died, which wasn't a lie. I didn't know him so I wasn't upset and I there wasn't going to be any services for him...so I got a week off.

Dads funeral......... he`s been buried five times now in different jobs....I`m sure he doesn`t mind though he had a cool sense of humour.
