I am come across alot of blocked toilets at the place I clean at, most of the time it is a toilet roll or other object that has been stuffed down the bowl that causes the problem so I normally get in there and pull out the blockage, this seems to be the quickest and easiest way (as long as you have some good long rubber gloves that don't leak :o) ), just wondered if anyone else adopts this approach ?

Normally, I like taking matters into my own hands, but before I would try the rubberized bare-knuckle approach, I would hope a plunger might do the trick. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Yes - not something I'm exactly proud of though. A few years back I worked on the cleaning/maintenance team in a students Union building and we were forever unblocking the toilets (most often the gents !). I used to dread Thursday Mornings after the Rugby crowd had been in on the Weds night because they seemed to like shoving a plastic pint pot down the bend of the loo and then taking a dump - gross. The students union didnt have the money to keep calling out plumbers to cure the problems so it was up to us - they didnt have long gloves so we had to wear ordinary rubber gloves and put our arm inside a bin bag and then dive for victory - after the first time we just got kind of used to it - its only poop and it washes off - someone has to do it xxxxxxx

Yep, ive had to do it with only a bin liner between my hands and the filth. I worked in a pub for a few years, and once when someone was sick in a urinal, i had to unblock it using a binbag over my hands as there were no rubber gloves. Not something id like to repeat.

Certainly have. About 10 - 20 times, no gloves. My kids were terrible for throwing toys and soaps down the pan.Iv'e removed the whole soil pipe as well. But to let you know what hell is i plumbed over 50 toilets in a new nightclub, and before any were connected to water they were all full. You guessed it my job was to clear every one. When i plunged one in particular the 'Mess' shot up into my face and mouth. Now that's crappy

As a male, I hate shirts it quite is scratchy and can't even soak up sweat. it quite is in basic terms like wearing plastic. I additionally hate maximum denims because of the fact they're so tight, heavy, uncomfortable, and restrict my circulate. particularly while i take advantage of tight belt too, each time I particularly have flatulence or diarrhea, the result will become greater advantageous :(

Yes, because I'd rather have an unblocked toilet than one that is leaking into my bathroom!!!
