Un-install and Re-install Java. Also make sure you have enough RAM to do the application your running.

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs and check to make sure that you only have one Java Runtime Environment installed.

I've gotten this as well, I think it might have something to do with using java at the same time in IE and firefox
