You mean states? The following are the seven states in UAE.
Abu Dhabi
Dubai
Sharjah
Fujairah
Ajman
Ras Al-Khaima
Umm Al-Quwain

There are 7 states as the previous answer.

And basically each state is considered a city because they are not very large in size, it is like 5 mins from Dubai to Sharjah and then almost the same through to Ajman.

However there are many neighborhoods like for example Bur Dubai, Deira and Jumeriah etc, but they are just areas inside Dubai and not different cities.
