Yes powersteering. But why would you want to be seen in that van! 22 years old is enough all the steering has to be worn out. And talk about weak underpowered motors located under the van?

Power Steering -P/S- may or may not have been an option in your van.
Here's a simple test:
Start it up, turn the wheel, if it's easy, then you probably have p/s. If it is hard to turn, but you hear a grumbling or whining noise, it's P/S with low fluid in the reservoir -due to a leak most likely. If it is kinda hard to turn...no P/s. If it is REALLY hard to turn, Broken P/S.
.
Still wondering, pop the hood, look for a "belt driven" thingy with a little cap on top -maybe 2" in diameter- somewhere at the front of the engine. The cap probably says "Power Steering Fluid" on top of it, That would be the power steering pump with a fluid reservoir on it.
Best Yet, Go on-line and find under hood pics of P/S stuff and compare.
Good Luck!
