Check the box. Usually if any line appears, even if faint, it could mean positive. You're not to trust the results if it has been over a certain period of time. The box should say.

If you have even the slightest faint line you are pregnant. I had tested for pregnancy in August and the first time I tested it was a complete negative but I knew that I didn't get my period and just felt that the test was wrong because I felt different. I had tested two days later and there was a faint line and I mean so faint that I had to stare at it for a few minutes to see it there. I waited another 3 days and there it was a blue line that I could see clearly. If you got a faint line you should wait a few more days and test again. Buy the test with more than one test device in it to save on having to buy another one . Your HCG level is what is detected when your pregnant and that is what makes the positive line appear so, when you are pregnant your HCG level doubles every day so if you wait a few more days it will double each day and you'll find out. Good Luck and I hope that you get the answer that you want?

It depends when your period was due, so if you are only a day late the line will be faint because your hormone level is low, so you could just be pregnant. But it is a positive result, if the line come up in the requiired amount of time.
Try doing another test first thing in the morning when your hormone levels will be higher or wait a couple more days to allow the build up of hormones.
Good luck and keep us posted with the outcome...

Wait a couple days and test with your first morning urine-the hCG concentration is higher then. If the line looks darker, you could be pg. You could also check with your doctor and have them take a blood test to be sure if you don't want to wait.
I was using the electronic hpt's that gave the digital pos/neg readout while we were still TTC and they all said Not Pregnant, but when I ejected the strip, there was a *very* faint line in the test screen. They were in fact, negative tests, I wasn't pregnant any of those times.

Same thing happened to me about nearly 5 yrs ago. My son is 4. You are pregnant. It doesnt matter how faint the line is.I think youll find that if you repeat the test in a few days youll have no doubt that the result is positive. Congratulations!
