My expertise...
Mary Kay has 7 different types of foundation in all different shades that can meet the needs of any skin type. The trick to having a foundation that blends properly is to have own formulated to your skin, depending on how oily or dry you are. It is also important to always match it with the color of your neck and not your face. Your face gets more color and naturally is darker, so if you wear a foundation that is that color you are going to end up with the line below your chin.
As the girl said above, there is a medium coverage foundation, however it is not best for dry skin. It is designed for oily or combo skin. The perfect and best blending foundation I have found in my life is actually Mary Kay and it is their classic formula of Day Radiance. I use it personally, alond with my mom, 2 aunts, and stepmom.
For more help you can visit the website and even call me with any questions, as my number is on there.

I use Arbonne's mineral powder foundation. It leaves your skin with a fresh, glowy kinda look. It's awesome! And it's about half the price of the Bare Essentials set. You can order some at http://arbonne.com. You'll need to enter a consultant ID..mine is 16459642. (gives credit for sale).
It usually lasts 9 months to a year. So cost isn't really a factor. It's the purest, safest swiss skin care out there. Not full of fillers and junk, and NO animal products in it.
I noticed when i wash it off at night there's hardly anything on my washcloth, unlike other foundations that leavea greasy glop on your wash cloth.

Physicians Formula has a great mineral based makeup that lasts a long time and does not make your face oily. you can buy it at most cvs or walmart stores. it is great for skin that is prone to breakouts. you do have to use a moisturizer under the foundation as it does not contain any and it will go on smoother with it. I love it.....it last a long time and looks great.

While I don't like to spend too much money on decorative cosmetic, I'd rather splurge on good skin moisturizers and creams, I do prefer Clarins Foundation over any other one besides the Physicians Formula Powder Pearls, it is the best.
It covers well without being oily, its not clogging your pores and blends easily and goes on smooth, but its also quite expensive.

Shiseido compact.....feels like powder and foundation in one. It's very light and sheer and feels light on ur skin. I have oily skin too so it's great. Also try Benefit makeup like Dr. Feelgood balm which covers up shiny spots.
