This turmoil of intolerance that is occurring today all over the world is due to a NEW melting pot that is boiling. When societies have few cultural differences in the mix, there is status quo and stability. That was the way of the old world with separate tribes and peoples and nations and isolation of cultures. But, with modern communications and television and air travel and immigration due to an emerging global economy, we are beginning to bump into each other all over the world, and in our own backyards, so to say. There is no more status quo anywhere in the world, no matter how much people struggle to hold on to it or to the past. When cultures bump up against each other, there is turmoil. There will be for all of us a period of adjustment, and then we shall move on and face the future together in mutual respect and support. Someday. But, for now, it is heartbreaking to watch all the different fearful, hateful groups hysterically, pathetically, shamefully, dishonorably dividing themselves from others with notions of superiority, self-righteousness, and delusions of domination over others. There are serious problems coming up that we must rationally address together and we must be as strong and healthy as we can be. Soon, the less fearful, the less diseased in spirit, the less hopeless among us will rise and lead us to a new common ground where we will be safe from ignorance and fascism and the tyranny of wills imposed upon others. That dear place was once the United States of America. The fearful and the hateful among us have lost faith in democracy and tolerance and the preciousness of life other than their own. History will remember them as those who put the American Dream asunder. This new melting pot will boil us up a new dream, though. It is inevitable, because, we humans always find our way back to reason and justice.

You are correct with your statement. But dont forget the problem is that we have people who differ to us in such that they want to be "on top of things". They know that it is the diffences that have brought us great achievements, but at some point they know they have power and start to misuse it.
They are our challenge, our provocation to show us how strong we are as a group.
We have to come to some concession contract where all difference are respected but the basic needs are first met.
Under the realization that we will have to fight for it and that we will have to force it on to the "ones on top.

As you can see by the many answers you have received, there are more then enough people out there that have the same knowing as you do.
Why dont you work further with it. Maybe your the one that can start something.
How about a website with a forum for around the world.
You could have people bring in suggestions and all vote on it and make up a manifest with everybody.... or something like that.

Just a thought.
Enjoyed your question very much.

not only do humans try to turn others into clones of themselves, they also try to turn into clones of others. people seem to have this need to fall in love with someone only to turn them in to what they want them to be, not who they really are. if thats the case why did they fall in love with that person in the first place? on the flip side, people feel a need to act and dress like everyone else. whats in, whats out, whats the latest trend or fad. ive had people tell me that they dress like gangsters to make a statement of their individuality, of course i had to ask "then why are you dressed exactly like the other 18 friends you are in walmart with?" humans have a need to fit a mold and they want others to fit into their mold of what is normal. it traverses all aspects of peoples lives. girls get the tramp stamp tats on their lower back to make a statement of individuality......just like everyone else. they buy those low rise jeans so they can fit in with everyone else. 90% of those girls dont realize that it does absolutely nothing for their figure and gives them a rectangular looking butt... but they must fit in...just like everyone else. (i miss the 70's jeans that hugged the curves) i even read a Q on here a few weeks ago where some girl was asking if a certain hairstyle was "in"...oh please!!! its hair! its one place where you can make a difference and a statement by being different. i agee with you, i wish people would realize that it takes all kinds to make a society. different looks, ideas, thoughts, and actions. clones are not a good thing. to quote a famous movie "a person is intelligent, people are stupid." any time you get a group together there is going to be a loss of individuality. its a shame really. i try not to fall for any of the trends since the mood ring fad ended. ok, i'll stop now, i'm showing my age (smile)

Hi.I really liked your questions. Unfortunetely people want their clones. They are very materialistic. I wish we could live in a world with no boundries. What we need is respect for that. And a respectful person is someone who will actually wellcome differences. So maybe the key point is to teach respect. Respect to people, respect to animals and pespect to nature.....

Cool dude! Loved what you had to say. Differences make all the difference. It sums everything up. Like they say variety is the spice of life. Colours, races, ideas, backgrounds..I guess that is what really makes the U.S tick. They have the best of the whole world out there. Fascinating.

Differences can be a very bad thing. For example, the difference between what I think I have in my checking account and what the bank says I have in my checking account can be a very bad thing indeed.
