Except I think that they are both dead (for real) Wilfred Brambell was homosexual (yet the chatracter of Steptoe was always slagging off pufters) but if you are looking for new episodes why not ask on the spifritual site.

Wilfred Brambell and Harry H Corbett were brilliant. Not sure who could replace them but I reckon Ade Edmonson could be Albert if he was a bit older or maybe even John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) as he's got a definite ability for comedy, and he's got the manky teeth. In the first ever episode, Galton and Simpson (the writers) hadn't even established the relationship between the two. As far as they were concerned, the two just simply worked together. When they related the two, comedy heaven was created with a myriad of possibilities at G&S's feet.

It would be hard as Steptoe and his son are both pushing up the daisies.

Fantastic!!! cant get enough of good old English humour. Loved the one where he was having a bath in the kitchen sink. He stands up and the neighbour screams. He screams and grabs the box of Flash to cover his modesty. Classic.

It was pretty ok hehe. Who couldn't feel sorry for the son, with his father embarrasing him and ruining his chances of success against the odds here and there.

Yet he couldn't rid himself of his good loyal son to father debt, and never saw him abandon his father - a few digs exchanged all the time yes, but never abandon him for long. Great comedy show.

Aren't they both dead? I'd hate to see them re-done by anyone else. The couple who tried to resurrect Laurel & Hardy collapsed like a lead balloon.
