ok so at our school theyre selling school clothes so i told my friend that i really wanna get a dchool rugby shirt. i dont play rugby but my school is the best rugby school. so i told her that i wanna get one and she said i wouldnt live it down because its like trying to be something im not. i just like the shirt but is it worth all the critism and hate ill get for it?!

If wearing a sports shirt when you aren't on the team means that you are trying to be something you aren't, then there a millions of guys out there who fit that profile. Think about how many guys you know, or see when you're out, that wear a replica jersey of their favorite player from whatever team they support.
I think that all you would be doing is showing a little school spirit, and supporting your school's rugby team. I don't think that many people would criticize you for it, and I think your friend doesn't care much about how great the rugby team is. Besides, if she was that good of a friend, she wouldn't care how you dressed. It's what is on the inside that counts.
If you like it, then buy one and wear it with pride. Ignore your friend's remarks, and any other morons who make stupid comments.

I say go for it and get the shirt. If you like it, that's all that matters. You'll be supporting your school too. We all wear the Abercrombie tees that say "Abercrombie Soccer" too. That doesn't mean we are trying to all act like soccer players. If anyone criticizes you, they are insecure. Don't worry about it and just be yourself and enjoy these years as much as you can.

Please! Realy Who cares what your loser, posser friends think! If you like the shirt and it makes you happy, then buy it! You probably would look great in it anyways and they are just jealous! Go for it! Look great and have fun! Are the people that are going to pick on you really who you want to spend your time around anyways! Think about it!

No but it also depends if you like the shirt very much you shouldn't worry about the criticism, and in another way you'll like representing your school too.
