What kind of appeal does this woman have to garner tens of millions of dollars yearly and a lobotomized, feminist, fanatical following!

Politically, she's Left Wing Liberal Leaning for sure, when you paruse her list of guests. There is no doubt about it, Liberals all but two, for "the entire year" of 2006!

What's this woman's appeal...she's a bore actually, so why this incredble following of estranged, adoring, worshipping, middle class white Housewives???

Her acting ability is stupendous (The Color Purple) BUT this other strange uppity persona is weird.

What say you? Any insghts?

I live in Chicago and we are constantly bombarded by her crap all the time. One of the papers here, Chicago Sun-Times, actually ran the whole front page about how she bought a $6 million mansion. Who gives a flying f.....!!!

I can't stand her at all. Firstly, she has some vendetta against Black Men. Being one, I noticed it right away. She never does any stories about the good things the majority of Black Men do, she always does Baby Mamma Drama crap.

Yes, she completely caterers to rich, white people. Hey, it made her a billionaire so I give her props for that, but, for Christsake, get off the tip, ya know. Those women you see in the audience, they are all from the northern, ultra-rich, ultra priviledged suburbs of Chicago. Lake Forest, Bannockburn, Winnetka, etc. And that show where she gives away "her favorite things" is the most disgusting, stomach turning, god-complex, display I've ever seen in my life. It is absolutely horrible.

And you ask about her uppity persona, oh...you have no idea. Have you ever seen her give an interview? Somewhere along the way, she's developed this elitist, upper-class, snotty, East Coast (no offense) fake accent that makes my eardrums want to burst instantly. She is so full of crap, she should have stock in Pampers.

A local radio host, Steve Dahl has the best quote about her.
"Oprah put the 'O' in narcissism"

Of course some fan of hers will respond to this and say, "There is no O in narcissism!", proving that they don't get the joke.

I rant on her on a regular basis. My mother-in-law used to be a big fan of hers. But I've won her over by showing her Oprah's hypocrisy and two-faced-ness. The biggest example being that whole "A Million Little Pieces" fiasco. What a wench...she brought that man into her Alter of Oprah so she could further humiliate him. Only because she'd been shown to be an idiot the week before on Larry King when she publicly backed this guy. You mean all those worker bees in Harpo Studios didn't fact check this guy?! What are you paying them for you pretenious cow?

Ugh...sorry...another anti-Oprah rant.

Its not tens of millions, she makes nearly that much a week. Why does Mickey mouse get a following? She used to represent the common woman. Its like idol, its watching "one of you" as you climb to the top through all the "stars" and then become one of them.
She sucks in all the gullible simpletons with her "generosity", giving away millions from a pile that never stops growing so she doesnt miss it or go without. To say someone who lives in a 50 million dollar mansion spends a million a week on shopaholic binges she cant control, has a million a week cost of living with the butlers maid gardners etc is generous, is as idiotic as saying someone who slows down to 30k as they throw you out the door near the hospital after stealing your kidney is charitable and should be thanked.
She is a selfish greedy woman that tries to buy love and devotion from idiots too stupid to see it.

People who watch Oprah have no life. I personally think that Oprah is the most egotistical, and self centerd woman I have yet to see in show biz.

I think her charitable works are to be admired, but I can't see why people jump up and down and scream when she walks into the studio, like Jesus had just walked in or something.
