If she's afraid of sex, then she's not ready.
If you really love her, you will wait for her. If you don't really love her, stay far, far away from her.

Go Slowly don't rush don't push if she is scared she may go to a certain point and stop. Expect it. Don't push the matter it will only make her feel uncomfortable. The less you push the subject and go slowly the better it will be . Maybe you won't make it this time and if you really care about her listen to what she is saying
If she stops part way then thats the way it will be for a little bit.
If she is tense its not good for her.
The first time is always a very sensitive time ... Slowly is best
understanding and talking with tender loving care.

First of all, be sure that it is something that the both of you want. I know you do. If she is afraid, it is up to you to be gentle and reassure her that you have her feelings and emotions at heart. Don't let your hormones have you rush into things, as they can sometimes do. Take things nice and slow. Once you become sexually active with a person, you are automatically linked to them for the rest of your life, whether you stay together or not. Intercourse is supposed to be enjoyable, and not a task. Have some fun with it. If her first experience with you is good, chances are she'll come back for more! Are you sharing her with someone?

Be gentle. Go slow. Lots of candlelight, soft music. Back off if she gets scared. Be willing to postpone this as long as it takes. Don't be in a big hurry to get yours. Take good care of her.
Read some books about sexuality so you know what you are doing if you are not very experienced. Or maybe if you ARE experienced but want some ideas.

Today’s society is obsessed with sex. The question Christians must ask: How should we as followers of Christ, living in an increasingly secular and amoral society, behave concerning sexual activity? Certainly not as atheists and agnostics behave! One way to recognize a Christian today should be by his or her sexual purity. Yet it is difficult to maintain purity in a culture obsessed with sex and permissiveness toward all forms of sexual expression. That difficulty makes sexual purity a good test of who really is a follower of Christ. It takes more than the best effort of natural humanity to maintain sexual purity. It takes the redeeming and sanctifying work of God in our lives.

if she is shy or afraid of sex, you should wait til she is ready. if you love her you will hold off until she is ready to do it, it would be a little selfish to have her to do something that she is not ready for.

Wait, be patient. Do it when she is ready and don't put pressure on her. She will let you know when the time is right for her.

Have a video camera and tape yourselves having sex. Afterwards, replay the video and see what you did well and what you did wrong.
