what are small red dots that appear on body that don't' go away? not painful, just looks weird

They might be Campbell de morgan spots which are overgrowths of blood vessels in the skin. They're best left alone and cause no symptoms or health problems, but they can be removed by laser surgery. If they are itchy it might be another type of skin problem. You are best seeing a doctor or a dermatologist.

If you add details to your question, be sure to include the locations of these dots, if they are restricted to a particular area.

Sometimes acne isn't painful and leaves red places. Also ingrown hairs -- especially in areas you might shave.

I get the same thing but mine are caused from a condition called ITP (idio thrombocytopenia purpura) This is a rare thing, but it's a blood dissorder that causes my platelets to become low, almost like a hempheliac.
