No, metallics won't make you look bigger. But the style of the jacket will. Contrary to popular belief, long bulky jackets don't hide pounds, they add them. The seaming isn't as contoured as you would need, so it wouldn't do much for your shape, hiding your waist and emphasising your hips and thighs where it stops. You also don't want shoulder pads in anything that you wear, which will add pounds, and give you a boxy frame. And when you are fuller figured, you want the attention to be on the top under the jacket, not on the jacket itself. Drawing the eye inward will give a leaner look, while that jacket keeps the eye going out and down, which can make a woman look heavier and shorter. Solid jackets in the and bright or print tops are a better choice for you. It will make you look taller and thinner, while the splash of color underneath draws the eye up towards your face, and off of your body.
As for the shirt, a V-neck would be a better choice. A high neckline will shorten your neck, adding pounds to your face. A v-neck elongates your neck, draws the eye in, and slim a woman's shoulders, neck, and torso. It doesn't have to be a deep cleavage baring style if you don't want it to be.
And since I didn't see any jackets on the site that don't have shoulder pads, I'm going to list some examples from another store. While you don't have to buy anything here, you should at least know what the style looks like for the most slimming appearence.
You want a solid color jacket that stops at the thinnest part of your hips, right at the bones above your thighs. It should have plenty of seaming and structure to hold a feminine shape without adding pounds. No shoulder pads, and no heavy detailing, one or two buttons at most. If you want to add interest in the jacket, do it with the fabric, not a pattern. Velvet would be a good choice. Not only is it a very stylish material, it's a hot look this season, it's a dressy choice for a holiday party, and it's flexible enough to move with your body, not against it the way jaquard does.

Then your top should be about the same length, no waist or empire waist, in a fabric that won't cling to your body the way that gold shirt would. It should gently flow over any problem areas, which will give a more flattering, slimming, torso. Look for tops that have some attention-getting details, like lace trim, appliques, ruching down the middle (which is also very slimming) patterns, or bold colors.

Hi. I looked at the jacket and it is beautiful. I think you would look great in it. My honest advice would be to pair this beautiful jacket with some nice black dress slacks and wear a sleeveless black top underneath (neither the red nor the gold top). The head to toe black underneath the jacket will not only elongate you, it will give the illusion we all love of being thinner. I recommend a sleeveless top because it would be less bulk. Wear some sparkle at your ears, then smile and feel confident. Enjoy the party!

no. you will look really pretty in this jacket. the only thing is that jackets that are this long may make you look larger than you are because if they don't work with your body shape-- meaning they don't show off curves that you would want to show that actually make you look thinner. it depends upon how overweight you are and what kind of curves you have along with the jacket itself.
but the metallic look isn't going to make you look fatter. it might bring more attention to you, but only saying you have good taste! any attention would be in a good way and not flaunting.

Wear what you like and enjoy the party.
Overweight or underweight what difference does that make to a bunch of people at a Christmas party, you only see them once a year.
