A lot of people don't have happy Christmas's. Some people have lost loved ones during the holidays which can make them difficult to go through. Some people just don't have anybody else in their lives to share it with. Some people aren't religious and don't celebrate Christmas (or Kwanza or Hannukah or Yule)
I think those people would like to hear some songs around the holidays that reflect their own feelings about the holidays.
Personally, I love the holidays ( I am pagan and celebrate Yule for me and my family, and we share Christmas with my parents) Like I said though, music is well rounded and meant for all people whether sad or happy during the holidays.
