You don't have to get rid of you're games, you don't have to go cold turkey. Game addiction is a serious issue, but it's easier to stop than other addictions, what you need to do like said before is just get another hobby, find other things to do.

I know from personal experience, I didn't throw out my games or give them away, I got a job over the summer, and then school started, so it really killed my gaming addiction.

Just find something else to do, and you wont find yourself urging to play all the time.

You're not going to like the answer but the best way is to quit cold turkey!! Just give it up altogether!! Live one day at a time. Remember your worst craving will only last about 3 minutes...you can get through it for 3 minutes!! Go on a long walk. After a week, you'll wonder how on earth you got anything done when you were playing those games all day and you'll feel SOOO liberated!!
Good luck!

PS: I know you'll just roll your eyes at this and go right on playing your games because that's the kind of weak person you are...

I really don't know....I am an addict too. But local health facilities trust me don't go to them....cuz first people will be in there with actual mental problems and 2 the food sucks.

I saw in the show Intervention that they have rehab programs for game addicts. Check you local mental health facilities.

just say no. I mean those games dont need you so you dont need them right. Grow a spine and dont play.

Moderation, you dont have to play all the time, but play some of the time. Go out do other things.

If its really THAT big a problem, get rid of your games and erase the programs from your computer. If that still doesn't work, then get rid of the computer.

Try other hobbies. Example, cycling, watch film show, shopping, rock climbing, chess games to forget about computer games. Try one of these with determination and you will succeed.

without ruining your game-- Try another like model building or skeet shooting

If you don't care what happens to your games-- give them away or sell them
