we always used to have our Christmas tree in our front room, and the tinsel and lights around it would be magical, especially with the room lights off. You would enter the room and there would be the tree glowing and glistening in the corner, in the darkness. I would go in by myself and sing Xmas carols quietly to myself - one morning I prayed for snow and later that day, it snowed. I was convinced that I'd done this!
Christmases are so precious when you are a child - I've enjoyed reading other people's postings in response to this question.

I remember Christmas Day 1990 this was our last Christmas Meal with My 2 Aunties ( and their partners, kids etc ) My 2 Uncles ( and their partners ) My Mum and My Granddad and My Nanna, ( My Nanna's last Christmas! ) She was dying of Cancer, she was 51 and I was 11. It was so special and traditional, it was great. She was so ill but I remember it so clearly.... All smiles, and full of love. I loved our family christmas dinners. Both my grand parents have sadly passed and nowaday I never see my aunties and uncles, but these chldhood memories will always stay with me!

It has to be when my children were small and seeing their faces on Xmas morning. Then rushing out to make a snowman from the new fallen snow. I didn't know those times would pass so quickly. I'm so glad I have those memories. Blessed memories to you.

Probably when my family and I went to midnight Mass, and then got my oldest brother from the airport. He moved back to Alaska from Phoenix Christmas night. We were all really tired, but it was so good to see him after such a long time!

This year, it's remembering the year my dad made me a Barbie doll house. He is in a nursing home now, Alzheimer's disease. I am updating the doll house to give to my bf's little girl for Christmas. I remember how much fun I had with it and hope she has fun with it too.
