My baby is red raw and nothing seems to be working. Love to hear from anyone who's had good success with curing nappy rash with anything that works!

snap....sudocrem...the only thing that I tried that would touch it. One of my babies never had it...the other was quite bad with it. I used to try and leave the nappy off as much as I could and make sure his botty was as dry as possible before the cream. Also used unperfumed baby wipes...

When my kids were small and had a rash which Sudocream wouldnt shift, my health visitor told me to use either Drapolene or better still Metanium which any chemist will sell. The best thing to help is to try and let the skin breathe - so lay baby on a towel for an hour or so with no nappy and let the air get to the bum xxxx

The best thing is fresh air. Lets change the bum, then let the air get around the sore places. Another tip is the white of a fresh egg. Change the bum and put the white of an egg on the sore bits.let the air dry it before puting another nappy on. Teething is normally the cause of the soreness. treat that too.

My daughter would get diaper rash so bad it would bleed and we tried everything and nothing worked. My older sister suggested trying some bag balm(yes like what they use for cows) we used some called Vermonts original and that has been the only thing to work for my daughter. I have seen it at 1 pharmacy and it was like 5 dollers and lasts a long time.

Sudocrem doesn't work for us. I have found that a 30ml tube of Calendula cream (Boots or a health food store), with 2 drops of lavender oil and 2 drops of roman chamomile oil are pretty good. Not quite a miracle cure, but pretty damn close!

Cornflour!! It really does work!!!
My son had a bad case of nappy rash at about 9 months old & my mother in law put cornflour on his bum.
She said it is what her mom used on her & her 15 brothers & sisters!

A good cream containing zinc-oxide, and bathe in finely ground oatmeal which you can buy in pharmacy, and put some towels under the wee one and let baby get air on the rash.

Use metanium (available from chemists and supermarkets). Should work fine - but if your baby's rash persists, take them to the doctors or health visitor as it can be thrush instead, which is why it won't clear up easily. Good luck.

Do not use Johnsons wipes or other brands that say perfume.
My sister's baby had bad rash and then she changed wipes and within a day it had gone for ever!
Only fragrance free supermarket brands are best.

Camilosan or a very thin layer of sudocrem.

Zinc and castor oil cream. Nothing compares to it. Just put lots on for a few nappy changes and it will sort your bambino out.
