Ghosts are generally thought of as "impressions" left behind by traumatic, highly emotional. or repetitive events from the past. These are events that replay like a tape, but have no consciousness. Ghosts have a tendency to lose energy & eventually fade away. Spirits, on the other hand, are conscious beings who are capable of interacting with, & responding to, their environment & humans.

ghosts are just like a visual thing
spirits are more.... of a spirit. you can only get a story from a spirit, not a ghost. this probably doesn't make sense but ghosts are only associated with what you see and spirits with how you feel.

Nothing. Spirits can be know as ghosts. There is no good ghost. Nor any sort of family member looming around. There someplace else. You can see spirits however. Those would be evil spirits.

Angels are spirits they are incomplete souls and demons are fallen angels in fact the word demon comes from the Greek word "daimon" which means "spirit" over time the word demon became attributed to unclean spirits and fallen angels in which in Christianity a demon is a malevolent spirit. And yes the angels were created from the breath of life from God in which they came into existence. The soul is the unity of body & spirit together in which plants, animals, and man have souls because our bodies were created from the earth and our spirits came from the breath of life from God. But man is different from the plants and animals for man was created in the Image of God therefore man is an eternal being while plants and animals were created by God for man in which they are not eternal beings once they die that is the end of their existence. But because man is an eternal being when the body dies the spirit continues to exist in a spiritual realm or state of existence in which one day the spirit will be reunited with the body what will be made uncorrupted during the resurrection of the dead. Now it's believed that in Heaven there are many halls and in one of these halls are the souls of the unborn, the reason why they are called souls is because they are predestined to have bodies as the host of these spirits. Which is why even in death the spirit of a man is called a soul because one day that spirit will have a body again.

To me, the difference is: A ghost is an entity you can see in the form of a person. A spirit maybe you can't necessarily see but you feel it's presence.
To most people I suppose they are one and the same...it's all in your perception.
