Historically buddy its was and always is Liverpool a.k.a the Scousers. Okay the story goes that Liverpool were the dominating force in English football for nearly 3 decades. Back then ManUtd were struggling. Anyway, the Premier League was started in 92 (before that it was called the 1st League). So Manutd became the force that knocked Liverpool of their pedestal as the King’s of England, an that’s why the scousers hate us so much, as we were the fresh young upstarts who kicked the cr@p outta them and became the dominant team in the 90s. Arsenal a.k.a the Gooners came later and became credible & very heated/hated rivals, but never as intense as Scousers. Chelsea a.k.a Chelski a.k.a Rent Boys are just a recent dominant force aided by the billions of Russain Roman Abromovich, so they are worthy opponents, heated rivals they are not.
So always its gonna be Liverpool that we hate the most (though nowadays beating them is a cup of cake)

Liverpool, because they are the two most successful teams ever in England.
But because Man U has been dominating for much of the 90s, anybody who challenges them for the title are their rivals. And since Arsenal and Chelsea are the ones constantly challenging Man U nowadays, they are considered rivals too.
If, many many years from now, Aston Villa dominates the Prem and Pompey are always coming second or sometimes nicking the title, they would be rivals too.
