I would much appreciate help to get the item identified and want as many people as possible to see it. It is like a casino card dealers 'shoe' - but it isn't that. It is beautifully made of polished wood and brass . I have tried to copy and paste it here but it doesn't work!

Photobucket.com is a free image hosting, video hosting and photo sharing service for users who want to host pictures and videos.
To allow others to see your files you must upload them to a server, then you can put links on webpages that point to those files on said server.
There are ways to host the files from your own computer but that gets complicated and it is much easier to sign up for free service from Photobucket :-)

An easier way would be accessing http://www.tinypic.com . Upload your photo there, grab the link that the site gave you and post it on your question.
If you have too much photos, consider opening a photo album at http://www.photobucket.com; it will be easier to track all the photos you posted.

You need to post your images to be hosted so that you can then write them in java and post them to show people over the net...
Best host sites are photobucket and imageshack... you can upload photos to host and then post them by posting java in [ ] brackets or the urls...

You will need to install an ftp program to upload a file to the Internet. try www.download.com and get a free ftp program like 'Frogftp' or 'Cuteftp'.
