I think it has something to do with the availability of job and the nature of the job, it doesn't require "muscles"..Plus i guess because women have sweet voices than men, that makes them easily hired in call centers

because -> 1. they are more pleasing to the ears.
and -> 2. they dont have inflated egos & have the patience to stay calm and listen to enraged callers as well as answer stupid questions.
