If your boss visit you while you are in hospital with cancer, how would you feel if he claims the time as a business expense?

Treat him the way you want to be treated. Have a heart.

A visit to an ailing patient should be out of goodwill, not out of duty. If you claim it as overtime, you are shallow. Imagine if someone you loved was suffering - would you take exception to someone visiting them, expecting to get paid? Do your boss a favour - stay away, unless you really care.
