Don't get me wrong I don't like President Bush, I believe we needed to go into Iraq but we did it totally @ss backwards and we need a new plan, but I don't wish our country to fail just because I disagree with him. I don't wish for fellow Americans dead like some do because I disagree with him. We do need a bi-partisin plan for victory, a actual mission and a time-table. Is it just me that feel this way????

i think you're asking a loaded question - more so based on the description, are you a lawyer in training?: like when certain news stations pose the "tough" question of "So, do you want us to win in Iraq?"

Technically the answer to your question is yes, ppl hate bush so much they want US to lose. But these people are as simplistic as those who suggest that because someone disagrees with bush means that they hate him and therefore wants to see US lose in Iraq. Neither tact is logically sound but it's where this type of question will take the conversation.

Personally, I'm not on the fence but can't resolve which side i'm on in terms of staying in iraq or withdrawing. Australia is in the war as well (not that anyone knows) and i kind of think our PM got us involved so what right do we have to leave while Iraq is totally stuffed. On the other hand, why should our soldiers die for something that seems to have no real plan?

I don't think we want to lose any more American live in what is a lost cause. I don't think we want America to lose. I also disagree that we needed to go there, we should have put more effort into finding Osama and left Iraq alone, just look at the mess that our country is in. You are right that we need a new direction and that is to get our people out of harms way before many more of them die for a people that does not want us to be there. We need to mend fence's and try to have better relations with the rest of the world.

Bush already doomed us to loss in Iraq by grossly mishandling the situation after we invaded, regardless of whether you agree we should have gone in or not. Our fellow Amercans, a lot of them, would not be dead if the administration had listened to advisers with actual knowledge instead of listening to his idealogical buddies. He is as bad as LBJ was in that regard.

I would have loved for him to have been right about the showered with flowers and welcomed as hero liberators part, but I had a sinking feeling that he was wrong and he was wrong. Don't try to blame us for Bush's failures over there.

If new people tell us we need to stay a while maybe it is true. If this same gang tells us we need to stay a while, experience tells me to run away screaming from that plan.

The war in Iraq is over....and has been since peace was declared
The war itself was based on lies...there were no WMD's and the Iraqi's had nothing to do with Bin Laden....this guy is a Saudi and George Bush has had and is still having business relations with this guys business and family....the Saudi's will not have anything to do with anyone outside their family or tribe...it is traditional warfare and this tradition is still very alive in Saudi Arabian business relationships....do you think a Saudi then will deal with an Iraqi?? I think not....
When will people wake up to the fact that this sad episode is based on and will remain based on OIL.....is the US involved for Democracy or OIL....lets ask an OIL Magnate....hey George......

Bush not only failed your country and the Middle East, he failed the entire world. So much for the war on terror. Now, the number of extremists in the Middle East only increased. That doesn't ensure the world's security does it?

One can't enforce democracy at gunpoint, democracy only comes from the people.

Your question sounds somewhat misleading. Bush's project is already a failure.

Just now Bush met with the Iraqi PM, and now he blames the Iraqi people for the mess.

That is something that only idiots do. He doesn't care that the invasion was illegal.

Who wants to lose? Do you know what's going on in Iraq? It's becoming a religious war! Each party fighting for their own leader. Each sector wanting his religious leader to control. How many years do you want the USA involved in a religious war? If we could solve religious war conflict do you think Israel and Palestine would still be fighting?

There is nothing to win in Iraq. We'll never win. Henry Kissinger states that it is not a winning situation. They are crazies over there. The longer we stay there, the more debt the U.S. will have, and we will lose more of our children's lives. They'll never stop fighting. They don't want us there. We need to just admit that we made a mistake and GET OUT. In time you will see that I am right.

Announcing a time-table will be a joke. Currently Iran is arming the Shia. With arms purchased from Russia.

If our purpose for remaining is to help Iraq establish a democracy, we will now have to turn our eyes toward Iran.

In fact, we need to regardless of whether we care about Iraq.

I agree with you...as many has said, there are no solutions./fixes, just options.. the middle eastern cultures is one of the most oldest waring cultures in history, I cannot even begin to make any sense of their vengeance that is passed from generation to generation......this will not go away, our Generals already spoke of their get even tactics.....
It so far out of control......Yes to conclude it would be good if the Iraq's could pull together, just to keep Iran out.
