The English have a tendency no longer to make a huge fuss about saints days like the Irish do and some human beings favor to communicate about that St George wasn't English. thoughts you, St Patrick wasn't Irish both yet that doesn't end them. There are also a large style of very advise lively human beings round who do not choose us English to rejoice our nationwide day and they make pathetic excuses, the most worry-free being that it will reason offence to somebody else which isn't genuine. we favor to artwork on it and get St George's day acknowledged as an afternoon of nationwide delight for the English first, then we can push to have it made right into a economic employer vacation.

If you ask for one then you're going to get people asking for St David's day and St George's day.
It won't happen.
However when I was young schools and businesses would shut half day for St David's day. They don't now.
