Nope. I think: 'Clearly non-conformity is a huge trend these days'.

The Gothic Rational
Leaping Dragons breathe their fire
Upon the painted white faces.
Dressed in Black the tattoo'd ladies
Chant whitchy songs upon the throngs
Of the followers from the dungon.
The children of the darkness gather blood
Off of the teeth of the vampires.
Kept in viles by the big stone fireplace
To brew one day in black iron pots.
Seems to be a fat girl culture
They probabably eat the thin ones.
Also a place where the wayward boychild
Can find a home away form the encyclopedia.
To gather like zombies in a coma
At the foot of a large oak alter.
Worshiping nothing and making
A ritual to obey the Godless fathers
Of sin and sickness and death.

I see someone searching for their identity, their place in this world. We all change as time goes on.And we all take on new identities when we turn a corner in our lives.A single woman gets married, she now has the identity of a wife.A teenager sees an a,athlete,a bookworm,a fashion diva ,a goth, and they go in the direction that makes them feel most comfortable at that time.I learned a long time ago not to judge a book by it's cover. We all look different on the outside,it's what we look like on the inside that matters.

I see a person who thinks. Goths have made a conscious decision to be what they are. They haven't just done what everybody wants them to do or tells them to do. They've chosen to be a certain way, and a lot of them have really thought about it. Goths, in my experience, are above-average in intelligence, are generally more accepting of others than the general population, and although they're often shy or a little on the odd side, a lot of them are really, really, massively cool. In Japan, we also have this Gothic Lolita subculture where the girls dress in larger versions of what very young Victorian era girls might have worn: frilly dresses, stockings, buckled shoes, bonnets, etc. They're so darn adorable, especially when the colors are a little freaky and they accessorize with skulls and things! It's like 'cute' and 'evil' all wrapped in the same package!

Yes, all of thee above. Which I am sure is not very nice and I shouldnt think that. But I am honest and I say yes, I think Devil Worshiper, Trouble Maker, Someone who is VERY lost and trying to find themself, Confused, Bad Childhood etc... I know, I am sorry, I am sure that is not true of all, but our society has programmed us.

Depends, there are lots of kinds of goths. I'd usually just wonder if we had any interests in common, like music or literature. I'm not scared of people, so I can say I would be open-minded.

The whole gothic basis: everyone is just a sheep conforming to societies guidelines...however becoming gothic is just becoming 1 of a million black sheep
