On some you can remove the keys. You can get a q tip and put alcohol on it, clean carefully.

My husband is a Software Developer and he does uses that method.

Some laptops like Thinkpads allow you to competely remove the keyboard with 5 screws underneath. I would take the keyboard and soak the entire thing in hot water, then rinse it. Let it dry for at least 24 hours, by a heat vent to be sure every last drop of moisture is gone. This is very important. You can submerge most electronic items in water as long as they are 100% dry when you reconnect and turn them on. This doesn't apply to items that hold voltage like power supplys, as that would be deadly, but for a peripheral like a keyboard it should work fine, and be faster than q-tipping 104 keys.

Most laptop keys pop off with a table knife. (carefully!) Try not to get any more moisture on it!

Sometimes repeatedly pushing the keys will loosen them up.

If all else fails--have a new keyboard put on.

***(Portugese translation by Google for above: First solution: Dismounting its keyboard and washes it with water and soap, less the part of circuíto printed matter. After it dries it well (well exactly) and retraces. Soon! Second solution: it buys a new keyboard. Ah! Yes! It does not drink and nor eats next to its computer.)

Keyboards form part of the user interface and a keyboard problem can be very annoying. Sometimes the keyboard drivers can get corrupted. Some of the problems can be fixed . I have found the details given at http://fixit.in/keyboard.html is more useful.
