It depends on exactly where the lump is. I could be a lump on one side of your body just above your pubic hair line or even in the hair line and it's usually caused by a hernia. These are usually fairly large lumps. Most all other lumps should be checked by a physician ASAP.

It sounds very like what's known as a Bartlin's cyst, which isn't dangerous, just uncomfortable, go to the Doctor to have it looked at and diagnosed correctly and treated, that way you'll know for sure.

ANY lump that you don't have an innocent explanation for should be seen by your GP.

It's just not worth the risk of missing something important.

Get it checked at the doctor. It can be a lymph node or anything. Make an appointment today.

get to the doctor's. it could be something simple that may become complicated if left to its own devices. Anything that's not normal needs to be checked out.
