I would hope she would be happy with her life choice and as long as it was a choice she made on her own without coersion I would wish her well.

Her decision. I would ask her why she converted. For a man? for something that happened? a political statement? to get attention? to get harrased by people? If she had a valid response such as she has studied different religions and feels most comfortable with Islam, then I would accept it as she is, first and foremost, FAMILY. She is not breaking any law, she is still the same loving person. This is no different than if she said she had realized she was a lesbian or that she decided to dye her hair blue or if she decided to marry some idiot I don't like. Just stay close with loads of love and support. If things change, she'll know you are there for her!

Nothing wrong with a good headscarf, if that makes her happy. I can never agree with the wearing of face coverings, however. We do not wear masks in this country and that is how we are, it is disrespectful to do so. When I was in turkey, they didn't allow face masks either and yet they were happily Muslim nontheless. My Muslim next door neighbours wear the scarf but not the masks and their view that they are unnecessary is good enough for me!
Cheers, Steve.

I would be upset that my beautiful daughter or sister was hiding her beauty and liveliness under what, to me, is an oppressive outfit that would make her look downtrodden rather than alive and strong. I would talk and talk and talk in my attempts to get her to think for herself and not follow some belief that doesn't encourage aliveness, beauty, strength, dignity and self-respect in women.

I'm not Muslim bashing either. I'm outfit bashing.

Who? If it was my wife I'd figure she'd joined the ranks of the strange brains and start planning on folding it up. If it was my mother or one of my sisters, I wouldn't give a half a damn. Hardly ever talk to them as it is. Don't much care if one of them flips their friggin' wig.

Love them unconditional as I did before. I would not convert, but I would support their decision.

it's her choice, I would be okay with it as long as it's not interfering with my life
