i'm 15 and i'm 5 8". one of the girls in my school basketball team asked if i could join as they were looking for tall girls. i said i'll get back to them. now basketball is something i wouldn't even dream of doing so i thought that i'll just say no the other day as i'm not really interested but when i told my parents they so happy and asked me to join. now i don't want to let down my parents expectations and i'm worried if i'll make a fool of myself. i'm even kinda nervous as i don't know anyone else in coaching. what do i do?

Nobody knows anything in the beginning. You have to get into the water to learn swimming. Don't worry and be optimistic in life. Go ahead and give it a try. If you can't cope up with it, say so and withdraw.

Well...at least give it a try. Even if you do it all wrong, tell your friends, you are trying it for the first time. Until you play the game, you will never know whether you like it or not. If you think it's not your cup of tea, you can always leave it.

But if you like sports, and basketball , then go for it !
Sports can be fun, and build your skill and self esteem !

practce at home and see if you're good...then show your parents and let them judge you if all of you think you're ok good then go ahead...it doesnt hurt to try somethnig new and if you dont like it, drop out
