I know that Hillary, John Edwards, and even Kerry are more well known and have a longer track record. But could the guy who is relatively unknown, and not tainted by the corruption in Washington, have a chance?

Yes, I think at this point in time he has as good a chance as anybody. There are only a couple of things that I have heard from the hate machine the repuglicans have built that is bad about him. One is he doesn't have much experience and the other he is from Chicago. But If that is all they got then I think he might, of course there is the raciest thing and I am sure they will fight against him hard but I think he can over come that.

I believe that Obama does have a serious chance. I think that if John McCain were nominated by the Republicans, his chances would decrease because it would be very easy to contrast the experience and substance of McCain with Obama's flash and mass appeal. But I would not rule out the American people choosing him anyway. Kennedy did not have much experience when he was elected (though he did have more than 4 years in the Senate), but he still won, and Obama reminds me of Kennedy more than any other political figure I've seen in 40 years.

I think that Obama is much better candidate to put up than Hillary. I love Bill and Hillary, but think she can do so much more good where she is in the Senate. I do think if Obama runs he has a decent shot esp if other dems can get behind him. true he doesn't much experience, but that can be an assets as well. he is very well spoken, very knowledgeable with many issues. he is also very personable and approachable.

I'd like to think that's the truth, but who really knows.

I think there are a lot of good people (from both parties) running, and EVERYBODY'S going to have a hard time deciding who to vote for in '08.

No, I really like the man, I think he's very articulate and intelligent, but I'd rather see him as a VP candidate.

Hey Michele, what does Bush call Condi then?

I think has an awesome chance! He shares a lot of views many Americans do. I'm a Republican but I would soooo vote for Obama if he ran.

I'm for him. How will the Red states receive him? We need a few of those to stay Blue in 2008.

I really like Obama, but I do not think he could win the election in 2008, maybe in 2012.
I do hope that he puts his hat in, though.
