How do I earn money for paint?

What on earth are we talking about? I will just assume you are an artist and I'll use the term "starving artist." If that's the case why not sell some of your existing works on Ebay or at local craft shows? What are your other skills or interests that can generate income??? Can you work a part time job? Can you hire yourself out to local businesses wanting murals? Can you write a book about painting techniques? Can you teach people? Without knowing you, it's hard to do more than brainstorm ideas.
