I've got a few old bricks I don't want any more. Are there charities that use them?

The National Autistic Society can make £7 from each old phone donated. Drop them off at a Vodafone Store to help this charity.

There are some charities who'll ship old phones out to parts of darkest Africa to help with schools and other projects.

They can't get clean water, but they have a mobile phone mast!!!

I think Oxfam are involved in this.

If you dont sell or donate them be sure to recycle them. There are quite a few organizations with operations along these lines, a quick search should yield alot of results.

Yes, several - I believe both Oxfam and the Red Cross use them out on projects and you can drop them in at your local shop.

Most schools and charties will take them for you and recycle them or you can sell it or part exchange it in an upgrade.

do you have kids? maybe you could donate them to their classrooms for emergency use. even if they don't have a service, they can still be used for 911 emergency calls. so if something were to happen the teacher could call 911

There are sites that will pay you for your old phone. you register and they send you out a pouch and then pay you what its worth.

Oxfam do it to raise money too

Go onto ripmobile.com - you can recycle your phones and equipment and they'll pay you in gift cards.
