While you are working for a company, you may have to work in a team where there would be many people from different states or countries, whose languages are different. So you need to communicate with them in a common language.
Apart from this many companies, not only software companies send their employees abroad to their parent companies or client area to work.
For these reasons, English which is a worldwide common language is required by any companies.

English is an international language. Almost all international communication is by English. In the important fields of Science, sport, art, and almost anything you can think of , English is the main connecting language.. I am sure you can get translations, but knowing the original is an advantage. If possible learn and perfect your English speaking, typing and reading skills to progress in life. If at the same time you can do well in your own language, that would be an added advantage. Good Luck!

I don't think learning really good English gives you any real advantage for most of the jobs as long as you can communicate to people what you like to convey and understand what they mean, but you need to have at least some basic knowledge of to survive in most of the jobs....because most of the paperwork is in English now days...

English neccessary if you work for american company. because they know only English and they are poor in learning any other new language.
No restriction for business guys. They can shine in their own language.
