Well, there are many reasons:
1. you are infected by a virus, run your virus scanner ad-aware and get a firewall.
2. the OS you're using is mistaking with a scedule and is shutting down your pc..

I can't answer your question since i haven't seen your pc and know nothing about it...

Good luck,

Could be lots of things. A virus that is doing it, the fan is not working and the system is overheating, Windows is more corrupt than normal...Can you give more detail such as when it started happening, what you were doing the first time it happened, does the computer do anything before it shuts down...

To be honest, with the information you've given it sounds like you have a virus. If it goes directly to completely powered off instantaneously it could be a hardware problem. If it goes blue screen it's more than likely a virus. I recommend taking it to a nearby computer store for assistance. Most of these places will give you a consult and diagnose the problem for a small fee.

Sounds like your p.c. is home to a variant of the redlof trojan. You might have to wipe the drive and re install the operating system.
