It's not spooky at all.
It's definitely worth watching if you like movies that work your head and really make you think. If not, you'll hate it. Did you like "Minority Report" or "Memento"? It's sort of between them in it's complexity level....
Tom Cruise was Tom Cruise; he was no better than he usually is and no worse. Personally I can take him or leave him. If your reaction to him is more intense than that, then that's going to be your real respionse to this movie because he's in practically every scene.

"Spooky" may or may not describe it, but it may be just a little eerie, but in my opinion, it was kind of pretentious, and just did not work. I never saw the original Spanish movie, 'Abre Los Ojos," on which it was based.
As far as Cruise is concerned, I'm not a big fan but I think he's a good actor; he's not the problem with this movie. Now, if you want a great Cruise-Cameron Crowe collaboration, stick with Jerry Maguire.

No, forget Vanilla Sky, and see the original Spanish film "Abre los ojos".
It much better, and there's no Tom Cruise!!!

yeah...i guess its worth watchin,not necessarily 4 tom cruise...at first u wont understand a ******* thing but when u do you'll like the movie

It's a little weird, but not too bad. I'd rent it. It left me with the, "What the heck" feeling. Kept me thinking, so I consider that a good film. I don't like a lot of scary films, this was just kind of freaky.

What a peice of crap. It thinks it's cool by the way it plays with reality but it just looks stupid.
