Life is too short and money is just not worth the stress of starting my own business. I have done it once and found that it eats up many years of your life.
For the few short years I inhabit this planet, there is alot more I want to do than earn money and build a mini-empire. I want to sit on the sand, plant flowers, lie in the sunshine, read poetry, play the piano, sing, dance and spend alot of quality time with my family.
It's too soon gone and I'm just not greedy enough.

It is more difficult than most people think. I compare it to being an athlete: it may look easy when you watch them, but just try it yourself! Not everyone can be a successful entrepreneur.

Lack of money. I want to open a bookstore, but I only have the IRA account that is supposed to support me in my old age. So I can't invest it all in a bookstore. So I have decided to open an on-line bookstore to help pay for the "brick and mortar" one I want to have someday.
But the term "entrepreneur," in my opinion, means investor in ones own business, which means having money to invest.

No desire to take much more risk for much higher gain. That is why I do not indulge in any criminal or illegal activities too. I am satisfied with moderate income at moderate risk like a true middle class guy!!

Risk. Especially concerns for the financial well-being of my family (wife and kids). Fear of the unknown and laziness also play a part.
