The cheapest way is by bus or you could hitchhike........long distance lorry drivers there love a bit of company!! Its will be a nail biting ride though!!! try not to take too much notice of all the over turned trucks in the side of the road!
the train is pretty cheap to if you travel 3rd class.....
check out plane prices though....when I was out there there was a offer for all westerners travelling to get cheap internal flights. good luck enjoy Agra!!!!! x

Via Train. It's quite cheap. Of course there are many, many people in the train which smelling all different :), but its the best way I think.
For the most trains you have to make a reservation two/three days before departure cause if not you have to stand all the time. And this coud be very annoying. Good luck!

Coach is the most comfortable of the cheap ways to travel.
I have travelled by coach a few times, although it can be very scary as they have many near miss head on collisions with lorries all the way there.....
