LCD is Liquid Crystal Display. As far as DVD games, I'm guessing that it means DVD quality or formatted games like PS2 has. Most Flat screen monitors for computers for the past nearly 4 years or so have been LCD, or TFT. LCD pretty much uses a bunch of little built in tiny box like things that make up the colors for the display. Here's a link to explain a lot of it.

There are different types of TV displays to include DLP, Rear Projector, Plasma and LCD. The two that most people really like to compare today are LCD and Plasma. There are benefits to both and well as weaknesses. Plasma seems to have a better color and viewing angles while LCD has better lighting and general clarity. AS time has gone on and these types of tv's are becoming more common, the gap between the 2 seem to have gotten closer and still better. Ther are many sites that will show you everything you could ever want to know about any of these. do some research and I really suggest finding out what the other person means by DVD games.

LCD stands for liquid crystal display, referring to the technology behind these popular flat panel monitors. LCDs are distinguishable from a traditional CRT monitor as the latter has a bulky footprint with a depth of several inches and a weight of 30 - 50 pounds (13 — 23 kilograms) or more, while LCD monitors are commonly 1 - 3 inches (2.5 — 7.5 cm) thick and weigh less than 10 pounds (4.5 k).

dvd games? Never heard of those before. LCD stands for liquid crystal display. It's a type of flat screen (there are rear projection, plasma, and lcd) that is very thin and used for computers and TVs. Typically, lcds are more expensive than plasma's as the size of the screen gets larger. If you are buying a 45"+ screen, go for a plasma. LCD is good, however, for playing dvds in widescreen.
