when i brought my cream leather sofas thay told me not to clean it with baby wipes because it dries the leather out and makes it crack thay said to wash it once a month in fairy washing powder, just mix up some of the powder with warm water then wash sofas over with it , thay look like new.

I bought a used off-white leather sofa off of craigslist in 2008. It was very dirty. What I did - and in retrospect, this might not be a "safe" way to clean leather - but it worked GREAT for me: I used Dawn Dish detergent. I put some Dawn Dish Detergent in a pan of warm water, soaked a cloth - wrung it out good and then wiped the sofa - I wiped with a dry towel immediately after wiping with the wet cloth. Amazing, the process easily removed all of the grime on the sofa and it still looks GREAT today. I did condition the leather every 3 months or so in 2008-2009 using a leather conditioning product that I found at walmart - i don't remember the name of the product - but it was about $8.00 for a small jar. The leather conditioner helped make the sofa softer. I didn't experience any harmful effects from using the Dawn Deteregent - and I was careful in not saturating the sofa with the soapy water. Kate :)

I use Flash wipes there great for everyday marks .The problem I had with my leather sofa was the mark denims left on it. The best thing I found was Astonish Cream with orange , works great but remember to wash the cream off with luke warm water or it will dry to a powder

when i bought my leather suite the lady told me no way use baby wipes on it , it would ruin the leather, she suggested a clean damp cloth wit just plain water to clean it and then dry it with a separate dry cloth. don't use any cleaning products on it. good luck

This might be a bit more indulgent technique, however it works. take a bit of face scrub, preferably strawberry or lemon base and a soft cotton cloth. Clean once with scrub and then with damp cloth. This should clean your sofa and also give it a pleasant smell.

You need a special leather cream cleaner. For best results you need to contact the retailer where you purchased the suite.
